A native of upstate New York, Barie moved to Fort Wayne in 2013 where he served as Ivy Tech Northeast’s chief fundraising officer until joining Borror Public Affairs in 2017.
During his time at Ivy Tech, Barie successfully raised over $3.5 million in private donations and grants. In addition to his fundraising efforts, Barie worked closely with large employers, regional legislators, and economic development agencies focused on workforce development and higher education.
Prior to moving to Indiana, Barie worked for a political action committee assisting multiple federal and statewide campaigns including U.S. Senate, U.S. Congress, and New York State Governor. In addition, he served as assistant to the CFO at a midsized steel fabrication plant in Plattsburgh, N.Y., where he gained significant experience in business operations and advanced manufacturing.
Barie resides in Carmel, and is currently enrolled at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with a B.S. in Political Science.
